TRIO Chardonnay: Pairing in the Spring

Tuesday, 20 October, 2020

With the arrival of Spring in the Southern Hemisphere, flowers begin to sprout and temperatures become pleasantly cooler, making it the perfect time of the year to be outdoors to enjoy delicious meals and TRIO Wines with family and friends.

The favorite blend for such occasions is undeniably TRIO Chardonnay.

Chardonnay, which hails from France’s Burgundy region, accounts for the highest number of hectares planted in the world. Its popularity is owed in large part to the potential of its seeds to germinate in a range of soil types and climates.

TRIO Chardonnay demonstrates the ease in which Chardonnay grapes can blend with other white grapes to create sophisticated and exquisite wine.

And so… what are some perfect pairings to commemorate the arrival of Spring?

For starters, we recommend light, fresh and zesty combinations, such as a salmon salad with celery and green apples, or a seafood platter with grilled shrimp, oysters, and clams topped with parmesan cheese, all exquisite pairings on a Spring afternoon.

When planning main dishes that pair splendidly with TRIO Chardonnay, consider pasta pesto or pasta with a shrimp Alfredo sauce. Another selection that’s certain to pair to perfection is a tasty risotto. Your guests, as well as your taste buds, will thank you.

Lastly, as all meals prepared with love and passion deserve a sweet finish, we suggest trying roasted grapefruit, which should be split in half, glazed with melted butter, topped with cinnamon and sugar, and baked in an oven.
